The aim of the conference is to open a discussion and collect the first instance and the critical issues that arise by the institution of teaching “History and geography”. From the curricular, will focus attention on ways to promote specific skills and cross the epistemological assumptions consistent with the disciplines of geography and history and the New National Guidelines for the high schools of upper secondary school degree. Will also contain proposals of the Working Group for the Teaching of Geography and History, recently established at the Department of Geography, University of Padova.

We are pleased to announce the presentation of MIH results as a “Best practice” within the Workshop “Storia e Geografia: criticità e opportunità per una didattica congiunta”. Methodological, Didactical and Technological MIH achievements will be shown at the University of Padova (Italy), to Geography and History Teachers of the Veneto Region.

Obiettivo del Convegno è aprire il confronto e raccogliere le prime istanze e le criticità che nascono dall’istituzione dell’insegnamento della “Storia e geografia”. A partire dai percorsi curricolari, si focalizzerà l’attenzione sulla possibilità di promuovere competenze specifiche e trasversali coerenti con i presupposti epistemologici delle discipline geografiche e storiche e con le Nuove Indicazioni nazionali per il Sistema dei Licei della scuola secondaria di secondo grado. Verranno inoltre presentate alcune proposte del Gruppo di lavoro per l’insegnamento della Geografia e della Storia, recentemente istituito presso il Dipartimento di Geografia dell’Università di Padova.
