GRIAL Group hosts from January 24^th to January 28^th the eLearning Training Days workshop, which are held under the auspices of the Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo da Vinci VETPRO Project “ELearning in flamenco rhythm” (Ref. 872A8A24631B9423).

Twenty three Poland business-men, from around twenty companies which eLearning core activity related, will know the eLearning field in Spain, both from an academic and research point of view and also from the enterprise perspective.

The workshop agenda is divided into six different focuses.

1. The State of Art of eLearning in Spain
2. The emerging eLearning-based research lines in GRIAL group
3. The State of the Art of Corporative eLearning
4. The eLearning in Spanish Public Administration
5. Cooperation possibilities in new eLearning projects under the EU Lifelong Programme
6. Business meetings with Spanish companies interesting in eLearning activities
7. Cultural and linguistic context of e-learning in Spain

The MIH (Multicultural Interdisciplinary Handbook) EU Project is just in the middle of its duration. We have fulfilled the EU control conditions, this way the first interim report (completed with all the public deliverables) was sent and we have an external evaluation report that shows the strengths and weaknesses of MIH.

At this point, the coordinator team is happy with the milestones achieved, but we are doing a very strong reflection exercise in order to face up the second and last part of the project. In a few days we will publish a first year summary of the project with the most important information and the schedule for the current and future work packages. Also, we are working in a deep review of the public site contents and all the public deliverables will be published soon.

El mes de febrero está siendo intenso para el Grupo GRIAL. Estamos en plena reestructuración de sus integrantes, su portal web y su imagen corporativa. El grueso de la actividad se lo están llevando los dos proyectos del programa Lifelong Learning en los que el grupo está involucrado y que ya presentamos en este blog, el proyecto MIH que coordinamos y el proyecto Elvin coordinado por la ECLAP y en el que participamos como partners. 

Concretamente, además de las reuniones de trabajo que se están teniendo y quedan por tener en este mes, los días 11 y 12 de febrero hubo que asistir al Comenius, ICT and Languages Project’s Meeting en Bruselas. Éste es un evento para los coordinadores de este tipo de proyectos en el que te ponen  al día de las pautas de control, seguimiento y justificación de los mismos. Como es de imaginar es la parte que menos nos gusta a los investigadores, pero que es imprescindible si se quiere participar en este tipo de convocatorias europeas, además de ser un buen lugar para conocer los entresijos de Europa y hacer contactos de cara a otros proyectos.

Allí coincidí con Juan Carlos González, director de la ECLAP y coordinador del proyecto Elvin.

Y como anécdota nos entregaron al grupo una plaquita como Partners in Europe del programa Comenius.

GRIAL es Partner de los proyectos EU Comenius

La actividad del grupo relacionada con Europa ha tenido otros aspectos en estos días de febrero. Vamos a participar como partners en una iniciativa muy puntual de un proyecto Leonardo de título muy peculiar E-learning in flamenco rhythm liderado por una institución polaca, y estamos participando en una nueva propuesta de proyecto Comenius para la convocatoria de 2010 en la que iríamos como partners en un interesante estudio sobre las causas de abandono escolar, veremos si hay suerte…

La actividad del Grupo GRIAL ha comenzado el 8 de enero en Innsbruck con la reunión de inicio que ha servido para dar el pistoletazo de salida al proyecto europeo MIH (Multicultural Interdisciplinary Handbook – tools for learning history and geography in a multicultural perspective) que coordina nuestro grupo. Durante dos días se han puesto las bases para desarrollar un trabajo que nos llevará aproximadamente algo menos de 2 años y en el que se van a ver involucradas 7 instituciones de España, Austria, Alemania, Francia, Italia y Polonia.

Los principales resultados que se persiguen con este proyecto son la creación de un conjunto de objetos de aprendizaje (distribuidos bajo el concepto de conocimiento en abierto) que recojan un conjunto de temas sobre historia y geografía que hayan tenido una especial relevancia en los dos últimos siglos para la construcción de una identidad europea.

El objetivo va más allá de los objetos de aprendizaje en sí, se quiere enfatizar en la metodología de trabajo para crear nuevos materiales docentes con un protagonismo importante de la tecnología y en la didáctica de estas materias que se ve enriquecida con unos materiales con los que el profesor puede innovar en la transmisión del conocimiento, donde el rol activo de tanto el profesor como los estudiantes debe aportar a estos materiales un carácter que va mucho más allá del simple material complementario al integrarse plenamente en el movimiento de la Web 2.0 con un fin educativo.
